A journal shaped by memories, not text

For many people with disabilities, expressing daily experiences can be challenging. Developed through an intensive co-design process, the journal enables alternative communication allowing users to share their stories on their own terms.

Every experience deserves to be remembered.

Despite living in an increasingly digital world, people with cognitive disabilities are often excluded from the tools others use without a second thought. The Independo Journal changes that by offering a digital space to reflect on past events, capture feelings, and share stories using images and alternative communication, because independence is not just about planning ahead, it is also about looking back.
