Portrait Nathalie Büttner

This is me!

Professionally I'm a Product Designer who believes great products are built with people, not just for them.

Academically I hold a Bachelor's in Interaction Design from CODE University, alongside an apprenticeship degree in Media Design.

Personally I find my best inspiration far from a screen: traveling by van, sailboat, or backpack, always chasing new places and the stories behind them.

Knowhow

UX Design

I create user-centered designs that focus on real needs, crafting products that are both intuitive and impactful.

UX Research

I am passionate about the entire design thinking process and use research methods to make informed, meaningful design decisions.

Co-Design

I believe in designing with users, not just for them. I have experience organizing and running co-design workshops to gather insights and ideas collaboratively.

Prototyping

I use prototyping to bring ideas to life early, test assumptions, and gather valuable feedback to refine my designs.

Accessibility Design

I care about making the digital world more inclusive and design with accessibility rules in mind.

Frontend Development

My background in frontend development helps me bridge the gap between design and implementation.

Element Circle

Backround

My design journey began at the intersection of web design and frontend development — giving me a technical foundation that still shapes how I think about products today. Between working at a startup and studying interaction design, I found my real focus: creating digital experiences that don't just function, but feel right to the people using them.

What has defined my approach most recently is working closely with people with disabilities. It shifted something fundamental in how I design — away from assumptions, toward genuine collaboration. Good design isn't made for people. It's made with them.

I care about the full product design process: understanding real needs, asking the right questions, and translating insights into solutions that are both thoughtful and well-crafted.

Experience

Learning is a long journey that will always continue.

Using creativity, applying it and converting it into the digital world is what drives me to keep going.
